Disaster Response Incident Command Course July 14- 18 Naivasha, Kenya
The Disaster Response Incident Command Course provided knowledge and skills required for operational leaders that are responsible for all incidents and activities, including the development of strategies and tactics of the overall response to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) incidents and emergency management of national disasters. At the conclusion of the Course, participants were able to analyze an incident, plan and implement a response, evaluate progress, manage and terminate the emergency phase of an incident. A total of 25 participants attended this training. These are- National Disaster Operations Centre, National Disaster Management Unit, Kenyatta National Hospital, Government Chemist, Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Nairobi City Fire Department, Disaster Response Battalion, National Counterterrorism Centre, Ministry of Health, the National Youth Service and Nairobi City County Medical Services.
